I can feel
it, my daughter. I can feel the endtime approaching.
There is a sensation creeping into my bones, a sensation I
have not felt for centuries. My muscles grow weak when the moon
crawls into the sky and my eyes grow heavy while with every passing
morning I find my body growing more and more sluggish.
We have joined with the man they call the Son of Storms. We did not arrive in time to assist him crush the Necromancer and his army of abomination, but we did assist in chasing down the stragglers. Now we join him on his march to Otosan Uchi.
As we move through the wasted remains of the empire of men, I have to wonder what will become of all of us. Finally, the men have gathereed together to fact the great evil. I fear that their unity has come a moment too late.
Our recent battles with the Shadowlands have proven time and time again that they are not invincible. The men are not easily convinced of this fact. They cower before them, allowing fear to govern their destiny. Perhaps our example at Otosan Uchi will dictate to them the true nature of courage. Daini has remained with us since we were separated from the human's Qamar they call Toturi. We have heard no news of Toturi's success or failure to join the Lion Clan. Daini tells me that he will die to make it so. I do not understand why death would motivate the men as much as it seems to do. Do they not know that death only brings sleep and awakening? I have spoken with Daini on many occasions about this, but we are unable to communicate, depite our years together. He has a good heart, young Daini, but he is not overly bright.
Ah, our army begins its march. I will send this letter with Shalasha. I hope news of our victory will follow it.
When I look a the world of men, I am glad you remained behind with our people, my daughter. It is a wicked world they have created. Already your sister Shabura has begun to change. While it is good that she has learned their language well and quick, she has also begun learning their ways. Mara, my daughter, it is good that you stayed behind.
